Mate is a very traditional South American beverage that is often drunk every day, even more so than coffee or tea. Especially in Argentina, the leading producer of yerba mate, 9 out of 10 people drink mate, and on average it's consumed three times a day. Therefore, it's frequently consumed at any time of day, but primarily at breakfast and snack time.

Some suggestions for enjoying mate

Taragüi with Crispy Camembert

A delicious Camembert cheese with candied almonds is paired with Taragüi, a balanced and noble herb whose slightly bitter flavor offsets the strong characteristics of the cheese and the caramel of the almonds.

Taragüi Sin Palo with Dulce de Leche Rogel

Taragüi Sin Palo is characterized by its toasted leaf flavor and lingering finish, making it ideal for pairing with a dulce de leche Rogel. The combination of sweetness in this offering offers a delicious sensorial experience.

Taragüi Liviana with Sacramento and Avocado

A lighter and more delicate Taragüi is ideal for pairing sacramentos with avocado, lemon zest, honey, and salt. The fusion of these ingredients allows Taragüi Liviana to accompany the combination, showcasing its smooth profile.

Taragüi BCP with Honeyed Pork Loin Bruschetta

The simplicity and freshness of the Taragüi Low Dust grind is balanced by the slightly smoky aroma of the pork loin on a crispy bruschetta brushed with a touch of honey. The medium acidity of the yerba helps soften the bittersweet character of this blend.

Healthy Options

Mate is a very healthy beverage that has numerous benefits for the human body. In fact, it's widely consumed by athletes and people on weight-loss diets. Therefore, if you prefer to pair it with lighter, healthier options, you can opt for rice crackers, for example, or even a small amount of whole-grain crackers. The most important thing is that everything is part of a healthy and nutritious diet; and also an exercise routine that complements a balanced diet.
